Remember these?

I do. This was the gift that I wanted most of all one Christmas when I was 12 years old. When I got them I went skating at least once a week. I would throw them over my shoulder and I walked to the skating rink with my friends. Boy was I proud. I thought I was a big shot, because I didn't have to rent my skates. The rink I used to visit remained in business throughout most of my adult life, but Hurricane Katrina shut the doors for good. Most good things come to an end, but at least I have many fond memories.

P.S. Sorry it has been so long, but there has been a problem with my computer. Still working out the bugs so be patient with me.

Hi ,I just want to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving. To night we had church instead of our regular Wednesday nite service. We had a testimony service. It is a service where you give thanks to God. Every testimony was good. Also today I had a tea party for my mother an 3 daughters , it is the second year I have done it. I think they really enjoyed it. I would love to have one with my grandsons but I can't get them all to gather at one time. They all like tea except one, that's the youngest one.But that's o.k. I would give him hot chocolate.

It's been awhile since I posted last, but I have really been busy.First, a memorial service for a sweet sister we will miss her, at my church, First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette. Then we had pastor appreciation, it was great. We have the best pastor, Reverend M.O.Martin , then my mom who is 80 had a major operation,and she is doing really great. And I give God the glory. There where much prayers said. I thank you. I really feel blessed to still have both parents, my dad is 83. I started this post about week, are ten days ago and I am just finishing it.

Praise the Lord

I have finally found the time to post. I really am excited about this. I am retired. But!!! still working. My job now is working for my daughter, I should have had this job years ago, talk about easy. I work in an office answering a telephone, I use to drive a school bus. I have been reading a lot of blogs since my pastors daughter told me about it. Thank you Terri. I am amazed at all the good information ,family oriented,and love of God information. I am doing this because maybe my children and grandchildren will read and learn some things about my past,family, and life threw my eyes. As a young girl my grandmother would talk about her life, family, friends, places and I listen with half ear. I am so sorry now. Well will be back soon. Love. me
